Finding peace from within!

We live in a world that literally never sleeps, so finding peace amidst this chaos is not only important, it is also a necessity.

The journey towards peace isn’t a bed of roses, it’s understanding and accepting your messy broken parts as much as you love your perfect pieces.

So, start where you are, use what you have and do what you can to achieve your inner peace.

As much as the monks enunciate, meditation may not always be the mantra but is a means to an end, which is understanding oneself.

To achieve peace, one needs to selfishly feel everything and anything. We, as humans, have a tendency to bundle the things that hurt us the most in the corner of our hearts and try to avoid them as much as possible, which may alleviate the pain temporarily, but it drains you physically, emotionally, and mentally. Moreover, since you’ve not healed completely, the feelings will return and it will be difficult to manage them then.

The first step to healing is feeling. Recognize the emotions you’re feeling. Simply acknowledging them is a step in the right direction, because now you know what’s wrong.

The second step is to allow oneself to feel it completely. Remember, you have to go through it to get over it.

The third step is to investigate the cause of the feeling.

The fourth is to nourish yourself, help yourself heal, and get over it.

If you want to say something to someone or wish to do something, don’t hesitate. Just dive right into it. Do anything and everything so that you have no regrets later on.

Try not to dwell on the past and instead focus on the present moment. Make the best of the situation.

Write or speak your heart out. Connect with people. Eat to your heart’s content. Seek a therapist if you can. It’s all about understanding yourself better and making peace with who you are as a person.

All of our actions, inherently, are reflections of our inner peace. If you’re really happy, you’ll exude this happiness and make everyone happy too. But if you’re troubled and angry, you’re more likely to lash out.

Often, we try to find inner peace when we are emotionally exhausted and can’t take it anymore. But it’s important to take baby steps every day and understand yourself. Remind yourself that you’re loved, you’re breathing, there’s a lot left for you to see, feel, and experience. Don’t just float. Keep swimming!

At the end of your day, ask yourself two questions: What did you enjoy today? And What are you grateful for?

Try to focus on the things you can control and be true to yourself. Create a safe space within yourself that no one will ever find, somewhere where the madness of the world won’t touch you.

Validate and appreciate yourself every day. You did well today, and I am proud of you!
